Dying During Childbirth

Hello,

Now that the cause of death mystery has been solved, it's sad to say that "dying during childbirth" is still going on - to this day ! Women about 150 years later can still "bleed to death" while giving birth. :o(

And there was a story on TV this year about a women giving birth to "multiples" who had a heart attack on the table. :o(

Childbirth is not always a safe and happy event.

P.S. And, I have several, female ancestors in 1800's New England who died within a year or 2 of delivering their youngest child. I've always wondered whether they got health problems during their pregnancy, which continued on, or whether they got caught in an epidemic of some kind.

We have a relative in her 40's who "got pregnant" at Age 15, and got Type I Juvenile Diabetes because of it. She has been a very sick lady - ever since ! For many years almost hospitalized monthly !
