Fairly sure that is Samuel with the wrong age. The 1881 census has
him as 63 and 58, the 1871 census has him as 53 and 48 before the
moved to the NE from Walws.

There is a Hannah Clark died in Easington in 1889, but it is
unlikely that if she predeceased Samuel she would have moved out
before his death.. Not in those days anyway. Of course they both
may have gone to love with one of the sons, as Easington is a coal
mining area, and Samuel may have come back when she died.

Did a little more digging and the place names I have amended
slightly. Samuel was born in Alby, which is in the parish of
Thwaite, near Cromer in Norfolk, as it is a good geographical
correlation.

Gradually building up the picture..
