The Local History in Britain after Hoskins conference is being held on 9-12
July 2009 at the University of Leicester. This conference marks the 50th
anniversary of the publication of Local History in England by W.G. Hoskins
in 1959. The conference is being held in partnership between the Centre for
English Local History, University of Leicester and the British Association
for Local History and is designed to appeal to anyone who has an interest in
local and family history.
