It is with sadness that I announce the death of my father, Don Moody,
who seems to have helped and troubled this group in equal measure. He
passed away at 9:30 p.m. this evening, 27th February 2009.

Dad eventually lost his battle against diabetes and was suffering from
kidney failure, ischaemia and partial blindness. In the end an
attempt to revascularise his leg with angioplasty failed and he died
in Exeter hospital.

As some of you have noted in your "Where's Don?" posts his activity on
this newsgroup has been sporadic and ever-decreasing in recent times.

I hope that even those who experienced Dad's sometimes emotionally
unintelligent approach to genealogy will in the final analysis balance
that against some of the good things he did for people in this group
and at least note the passing of a worthy adversary.

The Last Post.

Danny Moody.

From one of the many lurkers and learners of this group, I extend my
condolences to you and your family Danny.
Don will be very sadly missed.

Graham
