Thanks for the information. I am not sure that this is the right
family. Here is the information I have on the John Collard I am
looking for. b. 4 Apr 1812 England, immigrated to America in 26 Jan
1850 Baltimore. Married Jane Sunderland in 1855 Dubuque county, Iowa.
They had 5 children. He died in 19 Jun 1871 Keokuk county, Iowa.
Here is his cemetery record: John, husband of Jane Collard, d-June
19, 1871; age 59 yrs 2 mo., 15 days
This is how I came up with the birth date. Could be that the age in
years is off. Just not sure. I was told that he had a brother Val, but
I have no verification on that.
