Although the CWGC site says of this memorial "...vessels sunk with
significant loss of life were: HS Anglia, a hospital ship sunk by mine off
Dover on 17 November 1915".

That would be a long way for your man's body to drift.


Not when you consider that they drifted from Dunkirk up as far as Amsterdam
and Texel.
I think that this is an excellent lead - I crossed TNA's palm with silver at
lunch time and found his medal card. He'd been in France from 30 Aug 1915,
and qualified for all 3 (Victory, British and 15 Star) medals, so he'd
obviously seen action. The medal card says "drowned" as well.
