Good afternoon
Would appreciate it if there is anyone with knowledge or can assist with the
following query re my wife's ancestor.
His name was Jacob Weisgar GINDER a Master Gunner served 30 years in the
Royal Navy (we have his Naval Records and his Last Will and Testament).
He was born circa 1775-1780 in Germany according to Census returns and
married an Elizabeth ASH in St Andrew Plymouth. He died in 1848 in
Plymouth.
Basically we would like to know if anyone recognises the name or, if not,
could please advise us what we can do next. When we recently spoke to a
German Government employee we were advised to write to Berlin but she did
know the Department or address. Wonder if anyone could supply this
please?
Thank you for any and all help in advance.
Ewan
