Thank you very much - yes, I do have those; both events are also in Pallots
(along with Robert STRINGER's marriage to Phoebe ROBINSON). The christenings
of Clementia STRINGER's sisters are also on the IGI.
Henry Stringer LEE's birth date was from a family photograph album; his
baptism date from the IGI.
I also have the younger Clementia's marriage in South Africa (IGI and family
sources).
It's tracking them down in 1841 that's stumping me, now I know they hadn't
left for SA until much later - I received copies of the above-mentioned
letters just a few days ago which got me all excited!
(HSL tells his friend: "I have the announcement to you of the birth of a son
to my mamma at 4.30pm on the 19th September 1851. The little stranger is a
very fine baby, in fact not little, but a big stranger. He makes no noise
luckily, or I and perhaps papa would wish him where he came from, but enough
of this..." Filled in another gap, as I have a photo of a younger brother
Walter 'born at the Cape' but I didn't know when.)
Westminster in a lodging house. The lodging house keeper obviously
didn't know them very well because there is male Lee (no firstname), 30;
female Lee, 30 (no firstname); Harriett Lee, 5; Henry Lee, 2; Noname
female Lee, 5 months. Can't make out the father's profession - looks
like Man look. The ages of the parents are rounded of course, being the
1841.
