If you advise Ancestry they may correct the indexed database for any other
researchers in the future looking for that missing page.

My experience of Ancestry is that they have no interest in correcting their
databases.

People have been complaining about missing BMD images from certain years for
at least as long as I have been doing family research. These images have
never been provided. They exist - as other sites have them. The same applies
to missing census images.

The page indexing errors in the BMD indexes have never been addressed. While
that was acceptable when they were provided free - now that a subscription
is required to access them they should be sorted out. They could even let
the user flag the pages that need sorting by adding an 'Indexing Error'
option to the 'Having problems viewing this image?' dialog.

The only errors that are addressed are name errors/alternatives in census
transcriptions. That is user corrected and, likely, undergoes no validation
by Ancestry itself.

Ancestry seems to work to the model of 'cram as many databases in as
possible to attract the customers - don't worry that those databases are
flawed'. They do not respond to reports of flaws in their databases.

If others have experienced different and found Ancestry keen to fix faults
then I would love to hear.
