It has not been my experience. Nor many many thousands of others.
As an organisation they are not going to be concerned with how high
profile
the researcher is.
Its vast - its growing like topsy - faster than any model could have
predicted.
They will make mistakes and some of what they have produced needs vast
amounts of work yet.
They do need to sort out some of their customer service protocols.
All organisations make foul ups.
Hopefully over time, how they deal with them will resolve better.

As it is they have done more for all of us amateurs than any other
commercial organisation.

Its also entirely each customers choice whether to use them or not. The
information is available in other forms - even if it costs tens of
thousands
to travel around the world.

As I said, I have no personal experience here, Jill, but there does seem to
be a consensus that it needs sorting out. I feel that each of the
organisations I sought to compare have their pro's and con's, but I've used
all of them to good effect.
