I am willing to look up census records for a limited time if anyone
needs help! Please give as much information as possible to enable me
to use my time sensibly :)

Why not be honest and say up front that you are offering a commercial
service?
Why put what amounts to advertorial in sgb when the proper group is
*marketplace?
Why set up a site which needs Flash Player in order to be seen in
full?
etc etc etc.
A completely uninspiring and untrustworthy beginning.

I have to agree with Don. Unless this is a genuine offer of doing census
look-ups at NO CHARGE, then it is a blatant piece of advertising for a
purely commercial website. www.kindredhearts.co.uk claim to be
professional genealogists in Hertfordshire, though I confess I have never
heard of them. I note they charge 9 pounds sterling for a BMD certificate,
which is admittedly less than many researchers of this nature charge, but
it is still 2 pounds more than the standard charge for a certificate direct
from the GRO that anyone can obtain for themselves without using a
professional researcher! Plus, they charge 10 pounds an hour for their
services as well.
However, I donned my one-time investigative reporter's hat and did a little
sleuthing. The website www.kindredhearts.co.uk has been designed, it
says on the opening welcome page, by one Sacha Buttle. Checking out
the website name at http://getdotted.com reveals the registrant to be a
Sacha TRUSLER. Entering "Sacha Trusler" into Google produces as the
very first hit a website called WAYN.com, WAYN standing for "Where
Are You Now?", a sort of FriendsReunited-type site for people wanting to
keep in touch and know where their friends are, etc. There is a profile
and a photo of Sacha Trusler with Tony Blair and another with the Mayor
of St Albans.
Her profile reveals her to be a 37-year-old blonde in St Albans and she
goes under the soubriquet of "groovekitten" Same person? I couldn't
comment. However, if it is, she lists her occupation as "Legal" but under
hobbies and interests makes no mention of genealogy.
It is, of course, entirely possible that Sacha Trusler, alias "groovekitten",
is a lawyer who has simply registered the www.kindredhearts.co.uk
website on behalf of a client and Sacha Buttle is a different person.
However, I am forced to agree with Don's conclusion that the census
look-ups offer would appear to be a somewhat back-handed piece of
advertising for a commercial outfit.
