finding
probably living persons for reasons unknown.

If you want to find living persons, do it in the proper way through
the proper agencies. It has been described many times, as you could
easily find out if you bothered to consult Google or the archives
of

The usual abuse from a person up to no good.

I have a life, for a little while longer, but it doesn't concern me.
What does concern me, what has concerned me for years on this
newsgroup and what will concern me for as long as I live are the lives
of others WHO DO NOT WANT TO BE FOUND, and who have good reason for
not wanting to be found.

The reasons have been rehearsed many times, and it is ALWAYS
suspicious when a poster (a) does not state a reason for seeking, (b)
posts anonymously, (c) could so easily have found which is the proper
charitable agency to use, with proper protection by two-way cut-out
and in some instances according to specific law, and (d) gets abusive
when (a) to (c) are pointed out.

So who are you really? What is your location? What is your moral
standing in not declaring your own location while seeking the location
of other people? Why do you want to find them? Are you actually a debt
collector, an adoptee looking for birthparents, a bloke looking for
runaway wife and kids, ... what is your reason for seeking that it is
so nefarious it cannot be honestly stated? Have you tried the proper
agencies and got bounced? Have you already had back the message that
the Annears do NOT want contact but you are hell-bent on making
contact regardless of their wishes? Are you trying to locate a witness
against you in an upcoming trial? Exactly what is going on.

Or are you going to join the trickle of clever-clogs who have tried to
con this newsgroup, been sussed, and disappear without further notice?
Or are you going to be in that smaller trickle which, having been
sussed, threatens physical violence against those who have sussed you?

We've had them all over the years. As for those who want to threaten
physical violence against me, I commend they read the archives of this
newsgroup before they try. So far, those who have done so have not
acted on the threat. Which is a great relief to me since I really do
not want on my conscience, even with the excuses of age and infirmity,
that I have NOT painlessly killed in one strike anyone who brings
violence to my doorstep. So long as the violent party is reduced to
the point of being no possible further harm, my hand must be stayed
regardless of what agony they are in. A second strike would be murder,
even if intended as a mercy. It is better for all reasonable people
that any potential violence of nefarious seekers is directed at a
person who can deal with such stupidity.

So Karen, Kaz or whatever your name really is, you comprehensively
condemned yourself out of your own mouth. If you want to convert your
vituperation to physical action, read the archives. If you still want
to, you will by then have my address and it is up to you whether you
make use of that information. If you opt for some course other than
turning up on the doorstep, bear in mind that if it results in laying
an information with the police your anonymity will be illusory. They
can find you and they will feel your collar if they think your choice
of action justifies the effort. It is the police themselves who gather
the data that shows there are TWO MURDERS PER WEEK by violent people
of runaway victims the violent have located by nefarious means and/or
relying on the sloppiness of others. The number of serious assaults,
rapes, buggeries, and other offences against the person from the same
cause is orders of magnitude greater. So if, Kaz, or whoever you
really are, you really must try it on it won't matter in which
constabulary area you reside. It's a national problem and the police
nationally will get onto any case where the evidence is solid.

Now perhaps others on this newsgroup, or minded to try conning its
members, may understand how serious this whole issue is. It is much
more than just the one person Charani mentioned.

NONE of the foregoing is to say that contacts should not be made at
all. They should be made when wanted, and a lot of job can come out of
making contact with hitherto unknown living relatives. But the fact is
that anyone who wants to be found can make themselves findable at nil
cost. They only have to post a few contributions to newsgroups and
include correct contact details. Then a simple Google search will find
them. Those who want to spend a few pounds can do it even more simply
by using Friends Reunited or some similar site.
