Any help would be welcome in finding Andrew Williamson. I know he was
born c.1800 in Scotland - one census says Leith. He married and had
children in Nottingham. I've drawn a blank with Scotlandspeople, so
tracing his ancestry is proving difficult! Any suggestions, please?

I had a Margaret Williamson who also appeared as Margaret McWilliam.
Both were married to a Walter Bowie. For reasons I can't exactly
remember at the moment, I was fairly sure they were the same person.
Knowing that 'Mc' and -son mean the same thing... Worth a try?
