I just got the following message:
"Your access to FamilySearch.org has been temporarily suspended. Your
computer or a computer at your location has sent a large volume of
requests to FamilySearch.org and as a result access to FamilySearch.org
from this location has been temporarily suspended. Usually the
suspension occurs when a computer uses software to automate requesting
information from FamilySearch.org from any computer in your location. If
this message appears again, contact the vendor who sold you your
software to obtain the latest release"
This was my only search on that site for at least 6 weeks!
any ideas on problem?
The site was overloaded and sent out this message instead of a sensible
one.
I've had this happen occasionally, most recently a few days ago in the
middle of a set of searches (about four). I went back and tried again
and all was well.
Best to ignore it.
At least FreeBMD tells you when it can't handle a search, and doesn't
attempt to blame it on "Your computer or a computer at your location"
