Ancestry's image of the index clearly shows "Jane". I've
transcribed thousands of families for my various databases, and have
no recollection of seeing the name "June" at any time in the 19th
century. It certainly does not feature in either of my two largest
databases. As Eve has said in her post, it looks very likely to be
wrong.
FreeBMD shows a count of 127 deaths for first name 'June' before
1852. So there were a few around.
I think it more likely that there are 127 misreadings of the name - it is very easily
done with an open a. I would be interested in any genuine evidence of the name
before 1891.
