am new here.
I have recently posted a question on another group about my ancestor
Ephraim Whitehouse, born 1815 in the St martin's area of Birmingham? As
an adult he was a hairdresser and lived at 33 Congreve Street
Birmingham.He married Emma Kirby.His father was Isaac Whitehouse.
Does anyone have any more information about this family? I am having
problems with this line of my family, largely because Whitehouse is a
very common name in the Birmingham area.

but am surprised that you haven't followed up on Robert Isaac who was
still at home in 1861 - his birth certificate should make things slighty clearer.

Thanks a lot. The ages of the youngest two children are interesting - 4m
and 1m. Obviously a mistake somewhere! William was my G Grandfather, and

I am very keen to trace the ancestors of Ephraim Whitehouse 1844 - 1875 Birmingham. He was a hairdresser, living on Congreve Street. His son,William Whitehouse 1850 Birmingham became headmaster of Braunston village school in Rutland.
