Geoff said that. You must mean that his post is misleading, not mine?

Also, I think you will find that Windows 98 and some other operating
systems
cannot use Google Earth.
Quite! You'll need Windows XP (at least I think) and broadband.

No but you said "Windows XP (at least I think)".
Whereas you need Win2000 or later if running Windows but can also use
Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later

Your post was OK (but only as far as it went). Geoff's was also of limited use.

Why didn't you include the later Win98SE and WinME OS? Since they weren't excluded, some readers might have assumed they were OK.

What does "some other operating systems" mean? There are probably tens if not hundreds of operating systems. I doubt if any software will run on all of them and very few software applications will run on many so it was a rather useless statement.

Had either of you done a quick search you could have posted the requirements in not much more space:

"Google Earth will only run on Win2000, WinXP, Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later (as long as certain graphics and other hardware requirements are also met)"

The facts on which PCs can use Google Earth should be clear to anyone who can follow this top/bottom posted thread!
