Really appreciate all the advice. Thanks. I have been concentrating on
entering all of the data from the tree onto the computer and now that the
task is finished have just started on this quest to go back further. I am
realising the importance of gaining copies of the original documentation ie
BDM certificates and will get onto this.

I will be in Canberra with work for a couple of months early in the new year
so will hit the National Library on the weekends!! I know they have a large
newspaper archive so may be good for death notices, obituaries etc
