BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto have been ranked as outstanding
performers in a survey of the world's most admired companies.
The 2007 global study by management consulting firm the
Hay Group ranks corporate reputation as assessed by peers.
It is based on a study of the world's biggest companies.
These are Fortune 1000 companies in the US and another
Global 500 companies around the world.
BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto were ranked at third and fourth
respectively in the mining and crude-oil production category.
