The most important of a traslating program must be datastructure. It
must be scalable for further growth. It must be very smart but easy
and fast for search while maintaining data size as low as possible.
Choice of database is important. The DB must have the function needed.
Oracle is widely used but is not intended for novice. Only advanced
users or expert can handle it flawlessly. In an advanced translating
program one may need serveral databases or one with many diff. tables.
It must hence be relational DB.

I assume this is a stand-alone light-weight app. Then it must be dump
to put Oracle as a back-end database for this. Everytime one install
this app has to install Oracle Server? Just that thing alone make this
statement BS.

Why on earth someone write a DB-driven app with multiple databases?
That's BS too.

Choice of DB is not important as long as the DB is light weight. DB in
the back end should not affect how the program should be written.

"The DB must have functions needed." What is that? When one create a DB
for something, of course it must have the needed function for it to
exist. Otherwise, why on-earth we create that thing?

Finally, this person have not done much with real application. He only
uses big words with VERY VERY general concept that can mostly apply to
all the application design out there. Who doesn't need a smart and fast
search?

Please, stay away from it, if you don't know much. You might not have
noticed but there may be someone in this SCV know what you are BS'ing
about.
