Mark Lucas graduated from Northeastern University with a Masters in
Electrical Engineering and began his career with GenRad, the leading
automatic test equipment company of it's time. After many years of
honing his skills a mixed discipline HW/SW engineer and manager, he
tried his hand at the startup MRS Technology as Control Systems
Engineering Manager. MRS designed and manufactured the industry's
first large-area micro-lithographic stepper for Flat-Panel Displays
and was the first company to employ digital servo techniques and
automatic self-calibration methods to achieve ultra-fine positioning
control. After seeing MRS through it's birth, adolescence, and
maturation, Mark moved on to independent consulting for a few years
and finally found his way to CTI. He has been at CTI for five years
now and is responsible for the engineering activities on CTI's line of
digital products which include the DC900/2000 Digital State-Space
Servos, the EC1000 Embedded Scanning System Controller, and the
PositionPro-2 Digital Servo/Scanning System Hybrid Controller.
