Obama and fuel cells

It is again suggested to shift the transportation industry to natural
gas as the fuel stock using fuel cell technology, and for now
combustion technology.
The price of natural gas per BTU as opposed to diesel or gasoline
makes natural gas the logical alternative as the choice of fuel for
the future of transportation.
The US is a laggard in switching the infrastructure away from
dependence on oil as the primary source of transportation fuel.
some may arguye theat switching to natural gas is not solving the
problem as it is still depenidng on fossil fuel.
We must mention natural gas is not oil and the same companies that
profit from oil are not actually the same companies that would profit
from natural gas.
The US public is rapidly realizing that a switch away from dependence
on gasoline and diesel is necessary, but economic infrastructure of
the US does not provide too many realistic alternatives that can be
immediately implemented.
Natural gas is a source of hydrogen.and is thus considered a source of
fuel for fuel cell vehicles as well/
Whether one chooses a standard combustion natural gas engien or a fuel
cell ntural gas engine, it is a better economic alternative to a
diesel or gasoline engine.
Current economic trends suggest this as an economic alternative, and
we would tend to see massive moves towards natural gas as the
preferred source of fuel.
Gasoline and diesle engines will still be in plentiful supply and
guarantee the price of gasoline and diesle contiues to climb,
Itis suggested newer engines do not utilize gasline and diesel as we
make a switch as soon as possible away from the gasoline and dielel
engine infrastructure..
Legacy equipmnet will ensure there is still a strong market for
gasoline and diesel for the next twenty years, although predictions
concerning supply of gasoline and diesel twenty years from now are
rather grim.
The next President wil need to lead the nation through 40% of those
next twenty years and must also initiate an energy policy that makes
sense or be repsonisble for th ecomplete econoic collapse of theUnited
States.
Obama is expected to liberally grant tax credits for green energy
projects and investments on the order of FDR 1930 era projects at the
expense of the tax cuts for the rich and the war budget. A massive
infrastructure restructuring is necessary and all business making a
profit in the US will be expected to pay for a large chunk of this
cost, as they have neglected their responsibility to have already done
this properly, and now will be taxed heavily so that it does get done
as needed.
Business has already miniized wages to minimum levels, so labor cannot
make any more concessions without causing civil war and strife
throughout the worl to accelearate to a greater level. Mr Bush has an
economic policy of enriching the rich further while making the
conditon of the working class and the poor more destitute. Whether
that is by intent or dumb neglect, that is a matter of opinion.
No one envies the job that Bush is passing on to Obama, and Mr McCain
certainly does not have the vision and foresight to deal properly with
the current economic situation and how to react
A fuel cell is similar to a battery, using an electrochemical process
rather than combustion to directly convert chemical energy into
electricity and hot water. The chemical energy typically comes from
the hydrogen contained in natural gas. Because fuel cells do not burn
gas, they operate virtually pollution-free. And unlike a battery, a
fuel cell doesn’t run down or require recharging; it will produce
electricity and heat, quietly and cleanly, as long as fuel is
supplied.
