Starvation of Gaza -- Genocide of 1.3Million People?

The kidnapping of the Israeli soldier is a tragedy, a criminal act.
However, Israel's response -- cutting off water and electricity to
1,300,000 citizens of Gaza -- is criminal and genocidal. These people
do not have bottles of Auqafina laying around, they are literally being
starved to death by Israel.
A criminal act by a lone Palestinean does not give Israel the right to
conduct a genocide of Gaza inhabitants.
Imagine if such group punishment were allowed -- that would mean that
scatterred criminal acts by Jews in the 1930s would justify the Nazi
led holocaust. Just to put the current situation in context...
