Re: Вибачте, це тілки тест

Hi Rostyk !
Thanks for the input, I am connected to Bell-Sympatico, which
does not offer "News-groups" anymore, so I'm using Google, and
WindoozeXP service pack2, with it's "Outhouse-Express" browser.
(Outlook-Express), :-))) in a CP (no Mac)
Which is OK. in receiving (reading) messages, but useless in replying.
The reason for the test was that the replies to articles on S.C.U. do
not register on that browser, neither did Zhenchenko's poem, and
for some strange reason Cyrillic characters do show garbage instead.
As for encoding, in service pack2, there is a proviso to change the
keyboard to transliterated ukrainian font (or any other).
I'd appreciate you sending me reply that this post did go through.
Thanks again
Ewhen Ternopilskyj

I don't know exactly what you were intending to test.
However I found both your previous posting of the poem by  В. Женченко
and this one to be apparently properly rendered and readable Ukrainian.
i.e. I see no mangling of characters.
I am enclosing below the full raw contents of your posting as it arrived
at my computer.
I notice that you appear to be posting from an APPLE Macintosh, through
Google . Is it that your ISPs news service doesn't accept things posted
in utf-8 encoding? But this, going through Google, wouldn't test that.

How do you accomplish making the Subject: come through encoded in utf-8?
I use Sea-Monkey as my Mail/News client, and it's also a Mozilla derivative,
But I can't get it to accept the magic cookies that control the encoding
of the Subject: ???

P.s. I wrote this in English so as to minimize and possible encoding
problems. It should still be designated as being in utf-8 in the header
lines.
