Kaskorn Bank ripoff

I have had an account with the Kasikorn Bank (formerly Thai Farmers' Bank)
for many years. Never had a problem; they paid a small amount of interest
and I have been impressed by their technology, efficiency and politeness.
Until today: I find that 5000 baht has been deducted from my account. My
passbook was updated, but there was no transaction indicating that this
charge has been deducted; no line representing the 'transaction'; just the
new balance. When I rang the bank a lady told me that it's because of the
number of transactions I'd made (whether too many or too few, I'm not sure),
but I have never had this problem before. The lady's English was poor, and I
am wondering if anyone here can explain what's going on, and if all banks do
this. It's a long weekend in Thailand now, but I intend to pursue the matter
on Monday. Many thanks in advance.
