Dear Khun Chris and JS,

I couldn't agree with your sentiments more. I have read various
postings from many foreigners on various forum boards expressing their
outrage when a relationship fails. In cross-cultural relationships, as
in any relationship, the odds are most certainly stacked against their
chances of longevity for a multitude of reasons. Perhaps what makes
cross-cultural partnerships all the more unique/difficult is the fact
that on many occasions each partner may have very little knowledge/
experience with the other person's culture. This issue only adds to
the other problems which DO, unfortunately, occur in relationships. As
Khun Chris as mentioned, there is a very real danger that focusing on
a partner from a particular nationality/culture will only increase the
risk of problems futher down the track in your relationship. Are you
willing to give up your life in your own country to make a fresh start
in a foreign land? But regardless JS, I do wish you the best of luck
and as they say, it is better to love and lose rather than not love at
all!

Kind Regards,
Brian Anasta
