Advice Needed on Procuring Thai Products Overseas

Hello Everybody,

I hope all of you are very well and are in wonderful spirits leading
into the upcoming festive season.

I have decided to post the following query here as I thought it the
most appropriate place, particularly considering many of you have
lived in the LOS for many years, or else are frequent long-term
visitors.

My particular query relates to the process involved with purchasing
products in Thailand and having them sent overseas, in this case, to
Australia. I am specifically interested in foodstuffs, such as herbs
and spices as well as various fresh ingredients such as fruits and
vegetables.

I, along with my partner, are in the early stages of planning the
establishment of a small-scale Thai restaurant here in my home town.
As my partner is Thai, she would be running the catering/cooking side
of things, whilst I would be responsible for the business and
management concerns. While we would be able to purchase a large range
of various goods and items from locations in Australia, my partner
feels she would need to be able to also purchase goods from Thailand
to compliment the 'home-grown' products.Has anybody who has had any
experience in this matter please offer any advice?
