"IGNORING THE REALITY OF TRUTH
ABOUT PEOPLE WE CARE ABOUT
DOES NOT CORRECT THEIR WEAKNESSES,
BUT MANY TIMES ONLY ENCOURAGES
THEM TO DEVELOP THEM"
"How many individuals reading the
following, can truly say that they are fully
aware of their realistic association with
people in their family, or people they consider
as friends?
We should ask ourselves:
How many times have I 'backed or
supported the weaknesses' of someone else?
Did I do it out of protection for their obvious
insecurity or weakness in their personality
that made them show a lack of self-esteem,
expressed through an outburst of ego, moral
misconduct, ridiculous judgments, egotistical
opinions, involvement in actions and
intentions expressing only personal self-love,
basically due to a lack of self-esteem?
Many times a family member or a
friend, in protection of another individual,
'covers verbally' the individual's lack of
integrity in their mental and spiritual morals,
ego, selfishness, immaturity, jealousies,
overbearing personality, vanity,
competitiveness beyond normal limits.
Overprotectiveness can diminish and/or
destroy an individual from growing strong in
behavioral practices and/or self-control.
Are you or have you been a weakening
factor by deliberately ignoring their faults to
a point where you become the major victim of
their inadequacies, and/or their rage
impulses, and/or their insecurity in their
relationship with others? Are you really a
'strength' or do you cater to their inability to
understand when they are wrong?
Are you the 'sounding board' that gives
to others their immature speech or actions,
acceptance, and puts the responsibility of
their inadequacies and/or outbursts of
emotions on your innate reaction to cover up
for them?
Are you the real victim?
Granted, all these descriptions can be
devastating, but what is the solution that will
benefit all parties concerned? First, shouldn't
tolerance have its limitations, and shouldn't
one take a justifiable stand, thus giving a
positive strength to all concerned?
Do not forget, you will NOT be
standing with them at their time of
Judgment."
