Mangosteen (mangkhut ??????) are very good right now, 25 baht a kilo
at Huay Khwaang market today, or 5 kilos for a hundred baht from the
passing vendors in their pick up trucks in our muu baan, the downside
is that the growers are getting a pittance for them, only 5 baht a
kilo! On a TV news item a few days back, one farmer was shown
cutting his trees down as a protest about the poor prices being paid
to producers.
