I thought this sounded interesting. Its something I'd like to do
myself if I was in Bangkok at the time, although not sure I could
finish the whole 60kms.

To mark the 60th Anniversary Celebration of His Majesty the King of
Thailand's Accession to the Throne, the Grand China Princess, Bangkok
hotel and the Co Van Kessel Tours are organizing a charity bicycle
tour, Bicycle 60, encompassing 60 kilometers and visiting 60 temples,
to take place on Saturday, June 10, 2006.
Participants will explore the surrounding landmarks of Bangkok during
the exciting journey by bicycle. Departing from the Royal Princess
Srinakarin, Bangkok hotel in the early morning 7 am, the bicycle route
passes through such familiar temples as Wat Yang and Wat Bang, as well
as mosques, churches, Chinese temples and shrines. The cycling route
also passes through green areas and villages on the outskirts of
Bangkok.
The cylists are invited to stop for lunch at a Thai restaurant. After
lunch, the cyclists continue their travels on board a boat for some
sightseeing on the Chao Phraya River, which will take them to Wat Kang
Kao to continue their cycling tour. Next stop is Chinatown and the
flower market. Estimated arrival time at Grand China Princess hotel
will be around 6 pm, where the cyclists will be welcomed with
refreshments at the hotel lobby.
All proceeds of Bicycle 60 will be donated to Siam-Care Foundation for
disadvantaged people, particularly HIV-infected.
The fee for joining the Bicycle 60 tour is 2,000 baht per person,
which includes polo shirt, cap, lunch and drinks during the tour. The
bicycles and licensed tour guides are also provided, although
participants wishing to bring their own bicycles can do so. Transfers
from other hotels in Bangkok to the Royal Princess Srinakarin hotel
start-off point can also be arranged.
