When I was running a company, I had to turn down many people because
their resumes' weer full of gspelling and gramatical errors. It is the
first sign of capability when it comes to hiring employees. If they
can't write correctly, what else can they not do correctly?
Not trying to be too critical, only trying to help.
My impression is that correct written English doesn't matter much in
Thailand.
Working as a translator, I have seen a lot of wrong grammar and
spelling in translations into English made by Thai translators. I also
remember a former governoror of the National Bank of Thailand who had
made a speech to a prominent group of people in London. When he came
back to Thailand his speech was printed in Bangkok Post. You couldn't
really understand what he was trying to say. His English was too funny.
And he didn't realize it. And nobody cared.
labony should, however, know the difference between advise and advice.
