Farang Beggar in Silom Rd

I saw the farang guy who begs on the overpass near Robinson's Silom
this afternoon, aged around mid 20's, he has a yellow sign which says
"I need 4000 baht to get home" I wonder if he has any intentions of
going home, or is this just an easier way of staying in LoS than
teaching English would be. Perhaps Vagabond has seen the guy's sign
recently, is his required amount going down:-)
