How many soldiers,of our time yearn to be an Officer in the Army? There
is honour attached and many privileges accorded, and countless of
"servants' at his command.

The quality of life as an Officer, especially a Captain, which is the
minimum rank for Doctor,is an honor and glory for the country, and
SAF.SAF pays so well and grant many benefits-- like in a medical
profession.

If he had anything to complain, then all of our boys in there have more
to gripe,be bitter and complains.

He was a spoilt child,in essence.

13 long years of re-service,and wasted so many years of productive
lifestyles--isn't this is what normal SG male had to go through?

You mean to tell me that Mindef do cares for lay people who serve well
in the Army? Our country? For the higher class of people, and lower
class, there is a difference.Must I elaborate on this tedious affairs
of serious unfair treatment of our societies --which treated the
poor,and the uneducated lot?

Why should anyone mourn for the passing of a fool, who took his own
life, all because he had a good life?
We should give sympathy at least to those who struggle like crazy to
survive here and one who hardly meet ends meet, and not a an idiot like
him.

Why reward the childish tantrums of a young man who is 27 years old?
Why even bother to fight for his nutty case, and blame the Employer who
lavish him TRUE LUXURIES OF LIFE IN MINDEF!!!!!!!!

DO YOU WANT TO KNOW HOW MUCH A MEDICAL DOCTOR IS PAID IN THE SAF?
BENEFITS?FRINGE BENEFITS?

If that nut has a case, then my foot!He said he was not depressed, and
he was healthy and sound in mind..and yet he commit suicide over
pittance matters....then all of us should commit suicide because he
commit suicide...

Alan's case reveals on how too many people, even the Opposition
party,so devoid of ideas,any-o-how hamtam Mindef, and it shows they are
not credible...

Be more credible...Otherwise PAP rides higher...Or shouldn't they?I am
neutral...

Young people who signed bond to get scholarship may change their mind
after graduating. The system must be changed to accept people decision
not to serve to army by paying back the bond.A bond is afterall an
agreement between two parties. Why isn't the system allow this to
happen? It is sad for Allan to take his own life just to break the
bond. This is stupid isn't it?

***Allan was just throwing tantrums like a spoilt child. He supposed by
death he could hurt the Army.He awol for two weeks, and claimed not to
be depressed. In fact,he actually had many options but he just couldn't
see it.

Everyone knew he was stupid to take the ultimate road, but the way so
many fault the SAF system just shows how people don't see the real
issue. They are barking at the wrong tree.

If he were to talk to some people, there are 1001 ways to get over
it,break the bonds and live free.He just didn't meet the right
people,or had he used up the Counsellors' facility ...Mindef offered
for such to personnel....of foolish acts of suicidal thoughts's
people.
