NTUC should get real about DBS job cut and get its fact right.
The reality is DBS is not cutting low pay rank and file jobs, in fact, it is
still growing.
They are in fact cutting of some very senior overpaid staff.
Some of these retrenched DBS staff earned more than S$12,000 to S$20,000 a
month. Others earned more than S$5000 a month doing similar jobs rival banks
offered only S$3000 a month.
These people are simply overpaid sitting in office all day.
To test the theory that they are overpaid, ask them to find another job in
rival banks and see what kind of salary they are being offered.
Seems to me not only ministers are misled by these retrenchment because
ministers salary can double with no impact on bottomline, NTUC is also
getting its fact wrong and it show they are out of touch with reality on the
ground.
