Many may think this is ridiculous. I agree with you. But it
is true. Now I am going to argue why it is wrong of the pap
government to enact such an outrageously unfair law. There are
many unfair and outrageous laws enacted by the Leegime, this
is only one.

1. Acquiring another person's property without fair compensation
is against Natural Law. It is against the human rights of a citizen
to secure ownership of his property.

2. I know the pap government used the argument that land for
building roads are for the whole nation's benefits as justification for
not paying anything for compulsory acquisition of land for road
building. This argument is flawed. We know that the pap
government collected much more from the motorists than they spend
on road works. So roads in Singapore is a revenue generating
assets. So if the government is acquiring land to add to their revenue
generating assets, then they have to pay for these lands. When
private developers bid for government land, they paid for all the land
including those that have to be set aside for roads. So on principle of
basic equity, this action of the pap government has failed.

So the right thing for the pap government to do now is to abolish
this unfair and unjust law which give them the power to acquire land
for free even if it is for road building. Stop cheating Singaporeans.

The singapore government has been stealing lands for as long as i can
remember. They have simply legalized it when they created the URA
(urban renewal authority) back in the 70's. Huge tracts of land was
taken and compensation was WAY below the market value.. they paid
maybe 10% of what the land cost, cleared the land and put up HDB flats
which they then sold for an astronomical profit considering the bad
workmanship... its been going on for years dude. It aint no new
phenomenon... wake up!!

thus spake zarathustra...
