Any gahment which rule by cheating at the ballot and by instilling fear will
not last. The moment, LKY pass from the scene, that is the end of the PAP
and their cahoots. Show me the dictator that dare to launch another
"Operation Coldstore" in this Internet age.

This is a false picture painted by PAP.
Show us how is it ever possible that the PAP
will ever lose the election with a majority.
PAP still enjoy a majority ...mainly because of
LKY...his charisma and his past good work.
Singaporeans respect the old man for what he
has done for them... built homes for millions of
them, created job for them, educated their kids
and gave them a life better than any in the
neighbouring countries.
For as long as LKY is alive, most Singaporeans
will remember his good works and will respond to
his call to vote for PAP....out of gratitude..... ...
an Asian trait...(being exploited by PAP).
How the current majority will change ? you
have asked.
Let me paint a plausible scenario...( I must say,
this is purely an illustration...of what could happen,..
not an absolute certainty)
As soon as LKY is gone...the solid support for
PAP will evaporate. The PAP majority will be gone!
Singaporean is not timid by nature...remember
the riots, strikes, social unrest....just before LKY
came to power.
What held back Singaporeans is NOT the law..
It is LKY....his forceful character and his enormous
popularity, his good work, his personality force over
ordinary Singaporeans. Almost every one look up
to him.
It is LKY who hold back all Singaporeans,..
Without LKY, ......the law will not hold back Singaporeans
to protest, to go on strike by the thousands, en mass.
Under the British, there were similar draconian laws, but
Singaporeans were not prevented by the laws from holding
mass protests, social unrest and general strikes. The
British could not lock up tens of thousands..it would
certainly further infuriate them.
When the mass do not earn enough to buy food for
the family, when they have no food on their dinner
tables.....have no work to earn wages,....they become
irrational and highly charged..
Laws will not stop them from demanding fair wages, food
for the family...a fail deal.
Yes. the opposition is a joke...they will not gain more than
a few token seats which PAP allowed them to win.
They are NOT able leaders.
However, when there is social upheaval, able leader will
emerge ...like LKY emerged....to take the lead.
Of course, if PAP change course now...to effectively take
care of the huge number of unhappy poor Singaporeans,..
raise their wages to above subsistent level, stop rising food
prices.... stop paying themselves millions ..., ..
to continue the in the route forged by LKY....Singaporeans
will continue to give them the mandate.
But, LKY is getting old...PAP has little time to change
their present course..... Singapore may follow the route
taken by Malaysia, Thailand, Australia and Zimbabwi...
