Because apparently Ren Ci's atate of accounts are a mess. That's why
the hot water.

Their books are not kept in the normal manner (in
a mess) because their business is not done in the
normal business-like manner. ...
For example , it has no price for many items on sale....
payments are collected in the form of donations in
a collection box. There is NO cash register to record
such sales.
Is there an accounting system that is suitable for
this manner of doing business ?

Can you quote the law that probibit mixing
business with religion (charity) ?







Business and charity can be run by the same
organization, sure. But they must not be mixed. A clear line must be
drawn between them to prevent the "mixing". Funds for charity purposes
stay funds for charity purposes. Funds for "business" purposes stay as
funds for business purposes. If there is to be any transfer of funds,
they have to be accounted for and documented properly.

But Ren Ci was audited to have failed to do this. Time to get their
books tidied up lah.
