Posted yesterday morning on Electric Politics, a podcast interview
with Dr. Gary Sick. Gary is in an unusual position -- he's one of the
top U.S. experts on Iran, a retired USN Captain, who's served on the
National Security Council under Presidents Ford, Carter, and Reagan.
Yet he hasn't actually set foot in Iran for decades. It's a rare
anomaly, demonstrating pretty clearly, actually, how far from normal
U.S.-Iranian relations are.
Notwithstanding his travails, Gary's something of an optimist about
the situation, an excellent corrective to the now steady drumbeat for
U.S. military strikes against Iran. His insights and experience are
most valuable, and helpful, as we try to sort out U.S. policy.
Total runtime for this show is fifty three minutes.
