Yes. No point in punishing a mad man with jail sentence...better to
send his to IMH.

Since he is mad,....he will be exempted from reservist duties.

In future....many more NS men will follow his lead...feigning
madness.... to avoid reservist duties.

This guy suffered from depression of his brother who was killed by a
lorry and now further suffered from breakups from his girlfriend. It
is quite clear that he is also from a dyfunctional family whose
parents were divorced from each other.

The problem in Singapoire now is that there are too many divorcees and
dyfunctional families in Singapore that their children become a
problem to society and to themselves and anti-social to ohers and
public places.

The IMH is now full house of patients.

If these patients were added to the 1000 + of prisoners released from
prisoners every year, the number of offenders will rise further.

If these figures were further added to the number of detaineees
detained under detention barracks it will rise higher.

If these numbers were further added to the addicts now in drug
rehabilitation centres, the numbers of criminals will rise to tens of
thousands every year.

It is a hugh headache problem to solve it.
