Thanks for your answer.
I just have to add one thing; compared to the surrounding countries,
taxi fares in Singapore are *very* high.
Haha....in surrounding countries you will
get robbed, eat dog meat and get castrated.
So if you are such a tight wad, why don't you
spend more time in those third world countries
where you can get everything CHEAP but you
risk losing your life.
Since you want to enjoy the clean, safe city
provided by the hard work of ordinary Singaporeans
who actually makes up the ambience that you
love, PAY up.....or go crawl under some rock.
LOL. &&((( Commenting about high Cab fares doesn't warrant such over-the-top
replies.Anyway, our Cab fares is low compared to
Macau,Hongkong,**Indonesia,Malaysia....if everything being equal.)))
If all the taxi drivers in Singapore accept credit cards, it is pretty
bad that some are lying about it.
Not all taxis accept cards, you MORON!
LOL.
((((Cab's clear stickers stuck in their Cab give notice that they accept
Credit Cards. It is a common practice that Cab Drivers lied that they don't
accept Credit cards.I don't think I would quarrel,by merely pointing to the
Stickers, when they refused Credit cards.Singapore is a third world countries
which is why not all Taxis accept Cards??...Foreigners should bear in mind
our country is from first world to last?)))
We are living in the year 2007. I use plastic everywhere.
Cash is KING, you MORON.
Accepting cards carries risk....you should
know that retailers are allowed to reject
creepy looking guys who may be credit
risk.
So do not talk as if the world owes you a
living and that being able to use a card everywhere
is your birth right. It is the right of the service
providers whether they want to accept your
card or not....if they feel that you are credit
fraud risk.
(((The prevalence of Credit Cards is a fact of life and that increase
business, and economy.Cash is not King. For people who prefer convenience and
a better quality of life, they used Credit cards.))
The meter should also always contain the total amount.
I am very confused when the taxi driver wants a night charge + an
"airport" charge in addition to what i says on the meter.
(((Taxis' meter in Singapore is likened to a bandit and an offensive weapons
to cause troubles and misunderstanding.Too many crooks spoil the broth.
One said,we should add in that, and another said that, and another said
this...and here we have a convoluted complications.Forget about all
surcharges. If someone can see that...wow...laizzez faire won the day....)))
Like I say....just go to CHEAPO cities and
you will be fine. We only want people with
MONEY and are not tight wads to come and
visit us.
(((Tight wads are here also to earn a living because of our reputation .)))
Just a few years ago I was offered to be taken to a jewelry factory,
that would be illegal, n'est pas?
Have you heard about saying NO?
Are you really a DUFUS and a country
bumpkin at that?
If you do not know how to conduct yourself
when travelling in foreign countries, just stay
home and twiddle your balls wherever you came
from.
Just because taxi drivers in your own country
may find you a CHEAPO and a nuisance
does not mean you can come to another country
and expect these, what you think are your
THIRD world slaves, to cater to your demands.
LOL.
((( You really sound like a professional Cab Driver,as common with
grievances abundance. The Honky earned half more than people here, and Macau
twice. The spending power of our locals are the realproblems.)))
