As Singapore's population grows older, many do not realise that,
due to their natural physical changes, they need to change their
life-styles.....what were once ok when one was 30 - 40 year old,
will not be ok as age advances.....hence, this group of people
need to be educated and make to realise that they can no longer
carry on doing what they were doing before as 'normal'.....their
dietary habits need to change, especially fatty food must be
avoided as much as possible.....food like chicken rice, bak kut
teh, char kway teow, laksa...must no longer be consumed as daily
affair....they have to be cut down to the minimal.

The young will also need to play a role in this, since in their
attempts to show themselves as"filial", they would continue to
feed their elderly parents with whatever they like to
eat....hokkien mee suppers, week-ends eating-out at hawker
centres....in short, the root problem is unawareness, and the
lack of proper health education.
is $340.
