In a way, shit is already recycled. Human waste is used as manure in
some rural areas, if the farmer cannot afford to buy fertilisers (which
consists of animal droppings, such as from sheep). Cowdung is commonly
used in our neighboring countries trucking in our fresh vegetables.
Swill used to be collected from houses in Singapore to be fed to the
pigs, which end up as char siew.

Water is a universal solvent, so called universal, because it can
dissolve a lot of things. To expect newater to be free of sewage is not
logical. It is more of an acceptance. It is a 'bo pien' (meaning "no

Toowoombans did not accept it. They are prouder of their independence

If we conjecture that history will show that the Toowombans were right,
if history will show that Hong Kongers use of seawater to flush toilets
is indeed farsighted, should we be more open now to concede that the
wrong choice has been made and to accept defeat, rather than to accept
sewage?

We hope for wise leaders, perhaps being financially wise is not enough.
