Sure there are over 100,000 biogas outfits providing
power to farms, communities and homes in China. Some
remote part of Europe is going into it as well.
We never know what bacteria out there are capable of.
Still worth a look into. Infact I know of big $ being pour
into this direction.

Something feasible has already been worked out. The technology for
producing methane gas from the bacterial fermentation of animal
droppings has already been around for years. Some chicken farms in
Thailand are powered by chicken droppings. These raw materials are free
and readily available while you'll probably need to ferment a lot of
carbohydrates to get enough carbon dioxide (only 0.03% in nature) to
further break down to carbon and oxygen. In case you're not aware,
carbon dioxide is usually "harvested" as a by-product of alcohol
production. The raw material? Carbohydrates from plants. Full circle. I
certainly wouldn't put my money into this sort of chemistry.
A ***-powered car sounds more feasible to me.

I am only suggesting a general idea. The details of which
have to be discovered and worked out. Hopefully after
much talents and $ has gone into this research, they will
find a bacteria which covert CO2 into fuel(hydrocarbon)
and oxygen.
Of course plants are doing the basic work keeping human
alive. But don't u think it will be wonderful if someone can
discover a bacteria which can cover the CO2 into hydrocarbon
and oxygen ? Don't u think such a patented bacteria will
be very much sought after all over the world. It will be
wonderful if we can drive around with cars and engine
feeding on CO2.

Plants are capable of producing far more fuel in the form of fruits,
vegetables, syrup, timber than bacteria can. Plants in nature need no
care at all. Forests are maintainence free as long as you don't start
fires and cut down too many trees.
What do you do with the pure carbon that bacteria produce? How do you
separate the bacterial colonies from the carbon? Are you sure that the
carbon will burn properly? Why not create an organism that can
synthesise volatile, easily distilled hydrocarbons from carbon and
hydrogen instead?

Plants take up too much space and moreover
they need to be fed and watered as well as taken care
of. They also need sunlight. Otherwise they consumed
produced co2.
If u can discover a bacteria which needs low maintenance
and just keep on feeding them with co2, then it will be
wonderful. Pump in co2 and outcome is fuel and oxygen.
