Re: Another Election Sweetener?

NWC (National Wage Council) will probably recommend wage increase before May Day and thereafter big May Day celebration.

aiyeah, all these sweeteners looks good but rotten inside lah.

Look, a person staying in a third world or one of our neighbouring countries, they don't get any of these sweeteners, but instead they get the following;
1. free medical, or highly subsidize hospitalization expenses
2. virtually no need to pay tv licences.
3. free education
4. etc.etc.etc..

just use your commonsense and u'll be able to calculate who is still better off in savings and expenses. How long will these sweeteners last you?

Lower electricity prices for April to June By Joanne Leow, Channel NewsAsia

SINGAPORE : Singaporeans will enjoy lower electricity prices over the next three months till 30 June.

This is because SP Services has adjusted its electricity tariff by an average of 2.54 percent, or a little over half a cent per kilowatt per hour.

This means that a one-room flat household that typically pays S$20.98 per month for electricity will now pay S$20.45, while a four-room flat household that pays an average of S$74.57 will now pay S$72.69.

SP Services says the reduction is due to the lower cost of electricity.

Even though the price of fuel oil is expected to increase in the second quarter of the year, the cost of electricity is still going to be lower because of the stronger Singapore dollar against the US dollar.

SP Services says it is also taking into account an adjustment for a projected over-collection in revenue in the first quarter of the year.

The tariff adjustments have been approved by the industry regulator, the Energy Market Authority. - CNA /ct
