There is a simple way to create more jobs. Open up more booths at the Woodlands causeway during peak hours. The infrastructure money has been spent because the booths are physically present. It is the staffing that is insufficient during peak hours. So there has to be a SOLUTION. The budget for the SOLUTION could be 9 lanes times 2 hours, multipilied by $30 per hour which could be $6000 per jam.
But think of the benefit to 9 jobless Singaporeans.
They will have work and they will have pay and they are doing something that someone stuck in a jam appreciates.
That's your money not the government! Open more booths/counters means more manpower, more pay from the government. Unless the motorist want to pay more, just be patience and wait in the queue !
