The opportunities for recycled water usage in China in India

Due to the immense population of India and China, there is a lot of
waste water generated. Waste water treatment plants and sewage systems
have to be built first to prevent health problems and improve the
standards of living. Then, to conserve water usage, water recycling
plants can be introduced to recycle water to non-potable use.
After that, when quality is guaranteed, it may be used as potable
water.
The key to reaching that stage is when quality is guaranteed. For
Singapore to have come to that stage, many have taken the government's
word and trust that it is guaranteed. The naysayers like me have hit a
stone wall and deaf ears, but if it should fall short, as in the case
of NKF, a reversal of policy is advised.
Many other societies do not drink their recycled water. We are perhaps
the only one to embark to do it on such a scale. But it is indeed a
very tall order, which needs audit and review and continuous
monitoring, otherwise Minimata and infamy awaits, turning to dust the
brilliant work of LKY as perhaps a giant of his generation, who led
well.
