One way proposed is to build shopping malls which people can run to.
There could be local variations, e.g. a basement carpark, with 1st sty
food stalls, then another layer of foodstalls and a market.
Ellenborough market was an example of such a structure. there were
flats above too. But to withstand an earthquake, prior to the tsunami,
the structure must be more pyramid in shape. Then, it may last 5000
years.
