They could....if somebody complained
and showed that it created a lot of
resentment and incitement.

You have to notice that the two jailed bloggers
got it because their posts gathered many threads
and response....so it can be said that it caused
a problem.

Those that are usually mild ones here are
not charged usually because everyone is
non riled up to such an extent to even bother
to report it, and even then, the police IO
usually weighs other factors such as seriousness
and recalcitrant behavior....ie...multiple postings
of repeated racism.
So no, the police in Singapore can be trusted
to use good judgement and no, I don't think
you will suddenly see thousands of posters here
charged....;-)

Precisely....IF its a one off thing.
However IF its coming from a KNOWN
racist, who have been posting many other
racist statements, then it ADDS up.
It becomes more serious in nature.

I think you get my drift.
But anyway I think its totally stupid to even
use ONE instance of racist phrase even in
a fit of anger....especially in writing.
