It's frustrating when you are in a hurry and try to draw money from ATM and found long queue or ATM out of service. POSB and DBS ATMs are always having long queue, whereas, you can use OCBC and UOB share ATM and are usually have very short queue. Also hawker centre don't take cash card or credit card lah!

Open another account with OCBC or UOB as backup so that you will not go hungry without food for your lunch or the need to rush to get another ATM card.

would go hungry!

From my experience most of the POSB banks in the HDB areas are always 

crowded as
they have reduced the number of staff and also branches in order to


save/cut


opertaing costs.
If the POSB banks were manned by human tellers, it's always very crowded.

It is not fair to me as it's not my fault and that I had either to wait
for a few days or I had to waste my time in one of the crowded branches
just to get back my ATM card! What arse luck I got into! Now I got no


money


to spend as
I usually draw some cash around $100 to $200 and keep in wallet. When I
finish spending,
then I draw some more cash and top up my wallet! Now it seems that I got


to


go hungry without
food for my lunch!

The lady was most sympathetic and apologised to me. I then decied to go 

all


the way to Funan IT
Mall POSB bank as it is usually NOT crowded and that it opens until 7pm! I
got to put aside
and cancelled all my other activities / schedules just to ruch down to 

Funan


to retrieve my ATM card!
I got to waste my time, petrol, ERP charges and parking charges just to


get


to Funan IT Mall just
to get back my card or I will not have money to spend for the next few


days


at all!

I only got one bank ie POSB Savings Bank since I was in Pri 1 more than 30
yrs ago!
That is the only bank I know. I have seen it
grow from strength to strength but recently there is lots of blunders. I
related this
incident to my friend. They also had same encounters! Recenlty he too had 

a


similar problem.
When he withdrew cash $400, he was given only cash $392! How come there is
$2 amongst
the dollar notes? He quickly called up the hotline and was told to collect
the balance
$8 from a POSB bank human teller! But then my friend like me becoz of the
$8, he got to
waste his time going to the ever crowded POSB bank to get back his $8! It
really is nonsense - like
I told the polite customer service officer! The lady customer service
officer by the name of
Eline in Funan was also most helpful when she allowed me to straight 

access


and issue me
a replacement ATM card through her collegue without Q!  I would like to
thank the
2 lady customer service officers for their patient and politeness BUT NO
THANKs to POSB
lousy, inefficient and unreliable ATM machine service. Made me waste my


time


& money just to
get back my ATM card! I had to go hungry during lunch also becoz I had no
money left to buy my food!
ANY ONE HAVING THE SAME ENCOUNTERs? Would you like to share how efficient
POSB is?
