In order to help Singaporeans stay competitive in globalization, the CPF scheme should be extended to allow members to pay for their own education, and those of their children, the cash component for SDF grants subsidy, to be paid by CPF. It may be a strain in the beginning, but the SDF grant subsidies can be gradually reduced, when most of the lower income has ungraded, or a certain percentage of the population possess a minimum educational standard. It will help the education market, more money for better trainned teachers, and propell Singapore's education system with more graduates in new disciplines which Singapore needs. Controls can be in place to allow only the use of CPF monies, in courses that will create jobs, in disciplines which Singapore needs. This is the best way, to help lower income people upgrade their skills, and other Singaporeans to stay relevant, before all are left behind.
